Our Story
A Quiet Obsession With Flowers and Thread
ThreadsAndWhispers began on a windowsill crowded with cuttings and a sketchbook full of half-finished botanical drawings. I had always loved plants more than I could keep alive, and cross stitch became the way I let flowers last — one small, considered stitch at a time.
What started as patterns charted for myself, tucked between hoop and fabric on quiet evenings, slowly became a small shop. Every design still begins the same way: a real flower, studied closely, then simplified into a chart that keeps its softness even in tiny stitched squares.

Once your Etsy order is complete, your files appear instantly under "Purchases and Reviews" in your Etsy account, and Etsy also sends a download link straight to your email.
Absolutely. Every listing is marked Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced, and beginner patterns include an easy symbol key plus notes on starting your thread and reading the chart.
14-count Aida is the most beginner-friendly option. For a finer, more delicate finish, try 16 or 18-count Aida, or 28-count evenweave stitched over two threads.
Every pattern includes a complete DMC floss key with colour numbers and symbol references, so you can shop for thread with total confidence before you begin.
Yes, small-scale sales of finished, physical stitched pieces are welcome with credit given to ThreadsAndWhispers. The PDF pattern file itself may never be resold or redistributed.
As instant digital downloads, sales are generally final. If your file is missing or corrupted, message us through Etsy and we'll resolve it right away.
Most designs use between 8 and 20 DMC colours, depending on complexity, giving enough shading for realistic botanical detail without overwhelming beginners.
Yes. Each PDF includes both a full-colour overview and a black-and-white symbol chart split across standard letter/A4 pages for easy home printing.
